The Kawartha Lakes are famous for their fishing from the elusive Pickerel to the sporty Large and Smallmouth Bass to the mighty Muskie down to the pretty Sunfish, which you can hand feed in the summer from our docks.
Fishing is a great sport around Birch Bend.
This is the location to catch that big one you have always been dreaming about. Muskie, Large and Smallmouth Bass, Pickerel ( Walleye ), Carp and Panfish are all available in Chemong Lake.
Whether you are an experienced angler or new to
the sport, you are sure to have fun.
Boat and motor rentals are available on site, plus
launching facilities are near by if you bring your own boat. We also have guest docking facilities.
Fishing Season Opens in 2011 as follows:
- Common Carp (April 23th)
- Pan Fish including Perch (Open all year round)
- Trout (April 23th)
- Pickerel (May 7th)
- Muskie (June 4th)
- Large & Smallmouth Bass (June 25th)
